Unveiled on June 21, 2003, the world's largest dirndl dress was created by Gabriele Hein-Fischer (Germany) and is an exact replica of a traditional Bavarian style, with a skirt measuring 2.9m (9.5ft) long and 9m (29.5ft) in diameter. Complete with bodice and a wide skirt tightly gathered at the waist, the dress is a perfect scaled-up size 38, and has sleeves that measure 1.5m (4.9ft) in length.
